State-specific workplace safety credits

The Delaware Workplace Safety Program offers employers the opportunity to earn a workers’ compensation insurance premium discount by maintaining a safe work environment. This program is administered by the Delaware Department of Insurance (DOI) in partnership with the Delaware Compensation Rating Bureau (DCRB). The DCRB notifies the workers’ compensation company, and the discount is applied at the policy renewal date.

You will find a wealth of information under the Tools, Resources, and Forms section. The application is under the Forms category, then select General Questionnaire. The application is titled “State of Delaware Workplace Safety Program Questionnaire.”

The State of Florida offers employers the opportunity to earn a workers’ compensation insurance premium discount by maintaining a safe work environment. The workplace safety program must meet the requirements of Section 440.1025, Florida Statutes. The application and instructions for applying for the credit are found below, along with information on how to provide your application to Summit.

Certifications for a Workplace Safety Committee are issued through the Health & Safety Division, Bureau of Workers’ Compensation in Pennsylvania and must be provided to your workers’ compensation insurance carrier to be entitled to a discount. If you have received a new letter of approval or renewal of certification, you may email it to [email protected] to have the discount applied at the next policy renewal date following certification approval.
