I want a quote from a specific carrier. How do I request this?
Select the "Calculate All" button in the "Carrier" screen. This will show all available carrier options and allow you to click the radio button next to the carrier of your preference. top of page

How do I complete the ACORD form for printing?
Before submitting your new business, you have the option of clicking on the "ACORD" tab and filling in the remaining fields (recommended). This will provide you the option of printing the ACORD form at any time. While a submission is in "pending" status there is no option to edit. Once approved however, you can view your submission and click on "Request an Effective Date Agreement" at the bottom of your quote. This will prompt you to complete the ACORD information. top of page

Are hard copy loss runs required for accounts that are quoted by the WriteNow software?
Yes. The loss information entered should be based on currently valued carrier loss runs. The hard copy loss runs must accompany the application and check and match the loss information entered into the WriteNow system for a policy to be issued. top of page

Do I need to send in loss runs before my pending submission will be approved?
Your underwriter will review your submission and contact you to obtain loss runs or other supporting information as needed to complete the underwriting of your account. top of page

Can I submit business that has no prior WC experience?
Yes. Many retail and service industries are eligible in certain programs without prior WC experience. Your underwriter will review and advise you on the eligibility of your submission. top of page

The business I want to submit has applied for a FEIN. Can I submit without the FEIN?
The WriteNow Quoting Service requires the FEIN to verify that no other submissions are currently being considered. For sole proprietors without an FEIN or new businesses that have not obtained an FEIN yet, the Social Security number of the principal officer/owner is required. top of page

I received a pricing indication. Do I need to send in an ACORD form?
No. Though we recommend completing the ACORD information before submitting to expedite the underwriting process. (Click on Troubleshoot for additional information on pricing indications.) top of page

What is the expected turn-around time for WriteNow submissions needing underwriting review?
Summit strives to maintain the shortest turn-around time possible. You will receive a response from underwriting within 48 hours. Often, your underwriter will call or email you the same day. top of page

What if my insured uses a payroll company or wants Electronic Funds Transfer (E.T.) or other payment options besides invoice billing?
Your underwriter is available to discuss alternate payment options based on account characteristics and the needs of your insured. top of page
