Provided through Heritage Summit HealthCare, a Summit subsidiary*
Our specialized, custom-built workers’ compensation provider network consists of over 16,000 primary care and specialty physicians and medical facilities throughout Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.
Through our specialized network and cost containment services, we generate an average savings of more than 50% off the billed amount on medical invoices. And our contracts with medical providers ensure that injured workers receive top-notch medical treatment at discounted rates. So, sending your employees to a network facility lowers the total cost of claims—and that ultimately has a positive effect on your mod, which can lower your premium.
When our network was created, we chose providers who have experience in occupational medicine and who really understand workplace injuries. All of the providers in our network go through our in-depth credentialing process. They know the importance of returning injured workers to their jobs and will work to get your employees back to work. Plus, most are board-certified by the American Board of Medical Specialties, which means they possess exceptional expertise in their specific field or specialty. Most importantly, the doctors in our network know workers’ comp.
Reporting injuries quickly is key. And because injuries don’t politely confine themselves to office hours, you can report an injury to our hotline 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. A Summit representative will handle your report to ensure that the claims process starts smoothly. (If the injury requires emergency treatment, call 911 immediately.)
